BPIA has joined a coalition of organizations in urging the Administration to maintain and strengthen U.S. engagement in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). FAO plays a critical role in shaping science-based international standards through bodies like Codex and the IPPC, which directly impact the regulation and global acceptance of biological products. Continued U.S. leadership is essential to ensure these standards reflect sound science, support innovation, and prevent unscientific trade barriers that could limit market access for sustainable agricultural tools like biopesticides and biostimulants.
